Mrs. Emma Adams, age 80, of Covington, died Wednesday night, Feb. 15, in St. Elizabeth Hospital in Danville, Ill. She was a life resident of the Covington community. She had been ill six months and hospitalized 10 days. Mrs. Adams was born Sept. 30, 1886, the daughter of Jim and Todd Cunningham Brasker. She was married Jan. 18, 1905, to Henry Adams and he preceded her in death Oct. 28, 1964. Mr. and Mrs. Adams had served as superintendents of the Fountain County Home for a number of years. Survivors include: four grandsons; three step-daughters; her step-mother, Mrs. Mary Brasker of State Line; three sisters, Mrs. Mary Alice Verden and Mrs. Pansy Taylor of State Line and Mrs. Beulah Bayless of Muncie; two brothers, Jim and Don Brasker of Covington. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, three brothers and two sons. Funeral services were held at 2 p.m. Saturday at the Hegg Funeral Home, Covington. The Rev. Glenn Ray, pastor of the First Baptist Church of Covington, officiated and burial was in Mt. Hope Cemetery.
